Labor leader, Vincent Sombratto was president of the National Association of Letter Carriers from 1978 – 2002. This bust was commissioned for the lobby of the newly renamed Vincent R. Sombratto Building in Washington, DC. Mr. Sombratto was kind enough to model for Carpenter in his later years.
